Top Up & Balance

Code By AI is prepaid: you top up a balance and every request is debited from it per token. There is no subscription and no monthly reset.

How to top up

  1. Sign in and open the Wallet page.
  2. Pick an amount and complete the payment.
  3. The credit appears in your balance immediately — no waiting for a manual review.

What you get for your money

Before top-up discounts and payment processing fees, $1 buys 6 quota units. This is the balance conversion rate; token prices also depend on each model's pricing multiplier: vendor list price × model multiplier ÷ 6.

For example, claude-fable-5 and claude-fable-5-1 use a multiplier of 1.2, so their token prices are 1/5 of the vendor list price. Prices on the Model Plaza page already show what you pay per 1M tokens; use those rates to estimate usage costs.

How usage is charged

  • Every request is charged at the model's input/output rate for the tokens it actually used.
  • Cached input is billed at the model's cache rate, which is cheaper than fresh input.
  • Your balance can go slightly negative if a request costs more than what is left; the next top-up settles it.

Do I need to top up before trying it?

Yes — the balance is the only billing method. A small top-up is enough to test a few hundred thousand tokens, and you can add more whenever the balance runs low.
